Nerdy-ness and Summer

It’s 1 in the morning on July 11th. I’m not tired and Naomi just got off AIM. I’m currently listening to the Lost Woods theme from Ocarina of Time. This is a great way to start the day.

The end of the school year was better than I thought it would be. I was dying to get out of school for over a month. By May I just stop caring about my school work and focus mainly on making sure my summer is filled with exciting things to do. Finals were easier than I expected. My World Civ teacher forget to put 5 questions on the test, so basically it went question 1, question 2, question 4, question 5, question 7, and so on. Because of her mistake, we all got 5 free points, yay!  I got a B on this final, which kept my World Civ grade at a B, my best grade of the term (I’m still working on getting back into my old nerd ways of studying and being a good student that I purposely got rid of in 8th grade. Next year will be better!). The same day I had my World Civ final I also had my Math final. It was mostly multiple choice. My normal math tests are all open response so I found this very strange. I did fairly well on this final but there was one question I screwed up on. The question said something like “In how many years will George have $5 if he starts out with 6 cents and the interest rate is .9?” And my answer came out to be 207 years which was obviously wrong because it should have been like 20. So next to the question i wrote “I realize I did this wrong”, so my teacher at least knows I’m not a complete idiot. He might think I’m just lazy for not trying to fix it. Between the two finals I took my girlfriend to Casa Blanca for mexican food (which I hate) but it was fun anyways.

On Monday (the 20th I believe) I didn’t have a final, so my mom took me to breakfast at this place in NH. I got pancakes and bacon and homefries and they were all very good. After, she ran some errands at the mall and looked for a new purse. I don’t understand how many purses a woman needs, my mom has something around 50 of them already. About 3 hours of purse shopping later, my mom took me to get Ocarina of Time 3D. I remember playing the original Ocarina of Time when I was like 8 at my cousins house, I was stuck on the first level. When I was 12 I bought it on the virtual console on the Wii and got to the Forest Temple, which is still pretty sad. On OoT 3D I’m in the Spirit Temple. I don’t play much so I’m proud of myself for getting that far. Because of this game I have been extremely obsessed with all of the music and I’m constantly on Youtube listening to stuff from the game.

On Tuesday the 21st, the last day of school, I had my Environmental Science final. I hated Esci and I never payed attention which made this final was extremely annoying.  I was at Cedar Point in Ohio for the taxonomy unit so I had no idea what to do because taxonomy took up a lot of the test. The essay question, however, is what pissed me off the most. There were 3 essay questions on the study guide. One of those would be used on final. Every single class got the Deciduous Forest essay, so that’s the one I studied. But of course, being in the idiot filled level 2 class, we got the one about the turtle that was extremely easy with only one diffucult part to it. That one diffucult part was worth the most points out of any other question on the final, and I had no idea what to answer it with. I ended up getting a D on that final, bringing my C to a D+. Wooo. After that, me and two friends walked to a local breakfast place for..breakfast. One of my friends didn’t get food despite not eating earlier that morning. I offered to buy her something but she refused. Too bad. After that we walked to the organic food store and wrote on each other with lipstick. It was very fun. Later that same night we went to one of my friend’s houses and made a cake for Brandon Flower’s birthday, reliving 6th grade. We had a competition which was about something (I don’t remember what it was, must be my alzheimers..), and I was supposed to write a poem about my ginger friend,  which ended up being about another friend humping the air. The humping the air friend then had to do an interpretive dance to this poem, which is why I wrote about her humping the air. Turns out a few weeks later her mom found the poem, with my name at the top. Embarassing.

More recently, I’ve been to the Bahamas. We stayed at the Atlantis resort, which was really nice (as is the whole country). Inside the resort there’s a water park with some of the best waterslides I’ve ever been on. There was one that goes straight down and it’s pitch black, and when you get to the bottom, there’s a pool and an underground aquarium. We stayed at the Harborside which isn’t really a hotel, it’s a bunch of condos all together, and it’s kind of isolated from the water park but it’s walking distance from the downtown area. But anyway, our travel to get there was not easy. We woke up at like 3 on Tuesday to catch our 6:30 flight out of Boston. When we were ready to board, it was announced that the pilots needed their 8 hours of rest by law, so we had to wait an extra half hour because the pilots are lazy (by law). About 10 minutes from landing, the pilot told everyone that we would have to circle around the airport for an hour due to air traffic. When we finally landed, we had 10 minutes to run to our connecting flight to the Bahamas. By the time we got there, 3 minutes before the plane was supposed to take off, the plane had already left  5 minutes early with only HALF of the plane filled. The plane seated about 100 people, and 20 of the 50 people that didn’t make it were all on the Boston flight. So we were all there complaining. Keep in mind that the other 3o or so people were still in the air circling around the airport. So as everyone’s bitching and complaining, I’m talking to this girl who’s a year older than me and she;s telling me about how her brother met Will Smith last time they came, and he’s going to be there again while we’re there. I found that to be very cool. About an hour later, (we are still the only 20 people there, besides a couple that due to air traffic missed their flight to the Dominican Republic which was their honeymoon trip), the father of the girl I was talking to called his travel agent and got us all tickets for later that day to fly to Miami from Philidelphia (where we were at the time), and then from Miami to the Bahamas. So, we all had to run their to catch that flight. As we’re boarding, my dad asks the pilot if they can accomidate my brothers peanut allergy, and the pilot rudely says to my dad “No, we serve peanuts on this plane, and we’re not going to stop.” So I looked at the pilot and said “Are you kidding me? We’ve been here for hours trying to go to the Bahamas and if you serve peanuts on this plane my brother will die.” And the pilot just looked at me. I was extremely pissed already at how the day had turned out and I was no happier about this. So we just walked off the plane. As we were getting off, the family that had got us the free tickets were not allowed to get on the plane because the travel agent accidentally overbooked, so we gave the tickets to them. We ended up flying to Charlotte and spending the night there before flying to the Bahamas. Oh wow this was a long paragraph, extremely sorry about that xD Anyway it was a good vacation!

Besides that, my summer has been filled with trying to see the same friends, which continuously fails due to two people who can’t make a commitment, and going on the boat, which my friend nicknamed “The Family Time Destroyer”, because my boats name is “Family Time” (my mom’s idea, I know it sucks, and my proposed name was “The Destroyer” which my mom did not like.

I guess that’s really it for now. I hope to post again in like a week or so.

From Start to Finish

PLEASE EXCUSE THIS BLOG AS IT IS OVER A MONTH LATE. THANK YOU.

Hey blog people.

Haven’t blogged in a while.  I don’t really have a schedule for blogging and it takes a lot to get me inspired to blog.  But this past week has been the best week ever.

The title…I GOT INTO SHOWCHOIR!  And our choir is called “From Start to Finish” which is pretty cool I guess.  I’m really excited, more than I have been in a long time.

Yesterday was the seniors final day, so they all dressed up in beach clothes such as bathing suits, sunglasses, etc.  The senior prank was really bad.  They took all the chairs from the cafeteria forcing everyone to sit outside.  They then proceeded to throw water balloons at us while launching confetti from something I couldn’t identify.  The rest of school was kinda suckish after that.

In World Civ we went to the computer lab and worked on essays about religions or something.  Me and Christina got really bored so we looked through my texts.  Then my teacher walked by and she saw that the text we were reading was from Rebecca (who she happens to have next block) so she told me to put the phone away, so I did.  Turns out next class Rebecca was yelled at by my teacher for about 10 minutes for texting during school.  Poor Rebecca.  My teacher is a loser.

In Gym we went outside and played frisbee for about 30 minutes and the everybody got hot and when in.  Stephi and Julius like each other, and me and Julius hate each other, so me and Jianna let them flirt and we gossiped.  But Jianna doesn’t hear much so it was quite boring.

In Environmental, I accidentally broke my teachers fan.  I was walking up to get my quiz (which I got a 100%, no big deal), and didn’t notice it so I knocked it over and now it doesnt’ rotate or balance correctly and it makes a really loud noise every 10 minutes or so.  My teacher said it was no big deal and that she has had that fan since she started working at the high school.

1 Month Later

Ahhhh schools out!  And it has been for 5 weeks. Huzzah. So, summer has been pretty cool. I went to Atlantis in the Bahamas. There is another Atlantis in Dubai but I don’t like to consider that real since I don’t know where Dubai is or if it’s even a real country at all.

The 4th of July was pretty fun. I didn’t do anything the actual day, but on the 3rd I got to see some awesome people at the high schools fireworks show thing and then we just kinda hung out there for an hour, it was cool. I’ve been making plans to go to Canobie with some friends but they enjoy not responding to me.

I’m sorry I have nothing to talk about.

I’ve been watching The Glee Project and Emily was my favorite. Then she got eliminated. Now my favorite is Cameron. I’m listening to his EP thing right now it’s pretty good.

Naomi…hi. You’re so cool. You’re my idol.

I’M SORRY THIS SUCKED IT’S NOT MY FAULT.

Virgin vs. Taursex, Adele vs. Gaga, Atheism vs. Religion

Hello!

Before I start I have good news!   They aren’t cutting the music prgram because of how pissed the students are which means I’m joining show choir which means my parents can’t bitch at me for not doing anything with my life!  Yay!

This post has a lot of questions.

Question.  Virgin or Taursex?  I’m sure you’re wondering, what is a Taursex?  I’m sure you’re also wondering, why would I tell this person if I am a virgin or not?  Well, in a recent conversation with an anonymous british friend of mine, we came to realization there is no word for the oppostite of virgin.  So taursex came to be!  We did our research and discovered that virgin is derived from the word vergo, which is like a star sign or something.  So since me and my friend are both taurus’ (the best possible one) we decided we should make it have something to do with that.  Then I was just like “taursex” so we’re going to use that from now on.  So now all you non-virgins can brag to your friend about being a taursex and you’ll have that and the fact that you even know what taursex means over them.

Another Question.  Adele or Lady Gaga?  Soulful or pop-y..?  Old or new?  Strangely enough this topic was a discussion between the same friend that helped with the invention of taursex.  Moving on.  I’m recently extremely obsessed with Adele.  I posted on my facebook a video of her singing live and said something like “She has more talent than other singers of this time, i.e. Lady Gaga.  I forget what my friend said but we got really into it.  We were talking about how Lady Gaga isn’t that pretty, Adele is.  Adele’s style of music has already been done before, and people look for new things such as like Lady Gaga’s kind of music.  I don’t know who won the argument but it was enjoyable.

The last question.  Are you atheist or do you believe in some type of god?  I’m atheist as of like 4 months ago but I never really talked about religion much until I started telling people.  I just find the whole concept of some woman who became pregnant by sitting around doing nothing very unlikely.  My friend and I have decided that Mary was a crack head.  Someone knocked her up and because she was a crackhead he appeared to be God, telling her that she would become pregnant (it upsets me that this man did not use protection).  Mary gave birth to Jesus who was a crack baby, so he was messed up.  He would see these hallucinations about some guy that would tell him to fast so people would like him and follow him around.  Eventually people came to the realization he was crazy and KILLED HIM.  Strangely, his followers refused to believe there was anything mentally wrong with him, which is where chrisitanity came from.  Ta da.

Currently it’s school vacation and I haven’t done anything except go to the mall once and go downtown once.  The mall kinda sucked because one person was like mad or something and she kept ditching me and my friend.  Downtown was awesome, as it always is.  Wait I just realized we did not go downtown, that was last week xD

Sorry this post was kind dumb and based on arguments with my friends.  But I needed to post really badly anyways.

Which Seat Can I Take?

Ok, that title was mean.  I must admit, I have a lot of respect for one young Rebecca Black.  Friday wasn’t that good of a song, but she has a nice voice.  I don’t know how many of you saw her on Good Morning America, but she sang part of the National Anthem and she really has talent.  I think it’s just that stupid Ark recording thing adding too much autotune to her voice, and the lyrics for that song weren’t great either.  What really pissed me off where those terrible comments about her.  She was saying how the worst thing someone said was that they hope she cuts herself and gets an eating disorder so she looks pretty and then dies.  I hope that happens to the person who commented that because Rebecca is just a sweet innocent girl who wants to express herself through music.  If that song was sung by an emo guy with a guitar everyone would have loved it.  Well fuck you, everyone.  I really hope she continues to record music because she needs to show everyone how good of a singer she really is.  If you’re reading this Rebecca (which you are not, most likely), please continue pursuing a career in music and don’t let anyone else bring you down.  Good luck 🙂

Continuing with the arts, they are getting rid of all the music programs at my high school.  They say they don’t have the money to keep one of our teachers there.  This teacher is Mr. Mark Mercer.  He is an amazing teacher.  he came to our school 2 years ago and started 13 music programs including show choir, chamber choir, etc.  He also had plans to start and acapella choir.  Last night we had a town meeting and everyone from the show choir went and there was a lot of crying.  I watched in online today and I cried…I don’t cry a lot.  The show choir only has about 30 people in it, but they are truly talented and they are dedicated to what they do, and so is Mr. Mercer.  I’ll post some things people said about him.

“I hate how our town puts such an emphasis on sports that they cut music to make up for the shitty teams. Mr. Mercer is a better teacher than any of the coaches” -Marcel

“MR. MERCER IS OUR TOM BRADY!” -Evan

“I never met Mr. Mercer but I have only heard great things about him. I haven’t seen people so animated about music until Mr. Mercer came along. I can tell that he has made a difference in all your lives and he truly seems to bring the best out of his students, which marks him as a phenomenal teacher. I hope you all suceed in keeping the music alive at our school.” -Katie

My favorite though, was Rebecca’s..

To whom it may concern:

We were shocked to learn that there is a very good chance that Mr. Mark Mercer will not be with us next year. I cannot fathom how much we will lose with this decision. In only a few hours, tears had been shed, and a storm of incredulous emails and phone calls came pouring in. There was almost too much sadness and disappointment to bear.

Mr. Mercer first came to our town last year in September. It was immediately apparent that he was unlike any other choral teacher that our town has ever seen.  Teeming with humor and optimism, he started the year with energy and brought smiles to all of our faces. Last year was when I finally decided to join chorus. Hearing my friends go on and on about how funny, or how amazing, or how much of an improvement Mr. Mercer was compared to our previous choral instructors was enough to sway me.

I don’t regret it. In a mere year and a half, Mr. Mercer has transformed our choral program beyond recognition. He has managed to make our town’s music program stand out from the other ones in the area. Since last September, the number of students participating in chorus as nearly doubled in size. A show choir and chamber choir have been added to the program, and he planned to add many more in the future. This year, our show choir managed to take back a Grand Champion trophy from our varsity division at the New England Show Choir Festival, the school’s first trophy in choral music since 1992. The chamber choir showcased a collection of pieces titled Mid-Winter Songs, which had never been performed in the United States before.

This man is one of the most hard working, diligent, persistent, and ambitious people that I have ever had the honor of meeting. He poured his heart and soul into everything that he did. Last month, he sat the show choir down and showed us his plan for the next three years. He was preparing to add a middle school honors choir, another show choir, an acapella group, and even more choirs before the freshmen graduated. Before this year was even halfway through, Mr. Mercer began planning the song selections for next year. He said to us during rehearsal, with the biggest smile on his face, “It’s going to be awesome.” It pains us to imagine the fact that it may very well not happen at all.

Ambition and excitement is what our program really needed to get it in the direction it is headed now. There is an unbelievable amount of hope and potential resting in the students, parents, and Mr. Mercer himself. He has told us numerous times of the pride that he has for us, given us too many inspirational speeches to count, and has made us laugh in even the worst of times. He has managed to transform the members of all these choirs into a warm, welcoming family. We have come so far in a year. There has been so much progress.

Years of research have shown that progress and education in the arts correlates with academic achievement and emotional and social development. Students involved in the arts improve in critical thinking, math, reading, cognitive ability, and verbal skills, as well as motivation, confidence, and teamwork.  Decreasing the funding for the arts will yield more negative results than beneficial ones.

Taking away Mr. Mercer will take away more than just a gigantic chunk of  our town’s music program. With him will go the spirit, enthusiasm, and influence that he embodies. In the short time that he has been with us, he has touched each and every one of our lives. You will not only be affecting the life of a man who will be looking for a new job next year, but also all of the lives he has changed here. He has done so much and has given us a reason to do what we love. You are taking away from anyone who loves to sing, anyone who loves to perform, and anyone who had never expected to become so attached and close to this fantastic chorus director. We hope that you will reconsider.”

I cried when I read that for the first time.  I was actually going to audition for show choir in the spring.  That will no longer be happening.

So…school..

In World Civ, my teacher is annoying.  She always will be.  We got our projects back after a month of waiting and I got an 88 and I’m pissed because I told her TO HER FACE it took my 6 hours to make it.  Whatever.  NO.BIG.FREAKING.DEAL.  We also had a test today which I know I failed because it was one of those weird moments where you look at this test and you don’t know the first question.  I think I did really good on the essay though.  Every in class essay I’ve done in that class has been a 100% so I can only hope for the best.

In Study I listen to music and copy Songee’s homework.  Oh funny story.  When my mom asked me how schoolw as today I was telling her how i talked to Songee in study and she goes “What the hell is a Songee?”  And I just started cracking up..I hope Songee knows I love her.

In Gym, our teacher was absent so we played Mat Ball and I just talked to Stephi and she told me her relationship problems..

In Environmental we have a quiz Tuesday and I know from a certain Naomi that it is not easy.  But she got a 96%.  She’s a liar.  Haha no..Naomi doesn’t lie.  I don’t think…nah.  Also on Thursday we have a field trip (to the auditorium) to go see a power point on something about the Earth.  What’s amazing is the period after that there is a presentation for the Health classes but I’m going to that because the health teacher likes me and said I so I will be in the auditorium with my friends for 3 hours yay.

In math we learn stuff I learned last year but me and all the other idiots in my class were too lazy to pay attention too.  But that’s ok.  I’m learning it now.  And I feel smart knowing it when half the class can’t find the median of a set of data.  We had a test today.  I think I did really good.  Rachel had to stop taking it because she thought she was gonan throw up.  The whole time in the hallway I was like “If you faint I’m running” because last time she fainted I was so embarassed and at least Sophie was there today.

WAIT.  Today I was tardy for the 4th time in a semester so I have to stay after school with my gross World Civ teacher for like an hour on Monday.  I really don’t want to.

Glee went on hiatus for 3 weeks.  So there are only 24 days left!  Yay!  I know what songs they are doing but I’m too lazy to say them.  What I will say is that in a month Kristin Chenoweth will be reprising her role as April Rhodes and will sing an original song called “It’s 10 a.m. and I’m Drunk”.  I offivially can not wait.

Tomorrow I was supposed to go downtown with Naomi, Sophie, and Rachel.  But Rachel is sick and Sophie has a life, so me and Naomi aren’t gonan go alone.  So I guess I made plans with Brooke and Mary.  I’m not sure..

Well that’s it for now.  Bye!

-Matt!

The first time I posted this I forgot a title so this is the title.

It may be obvious that I have forgotten to blog and now that I remembered to I don’t know what to say.
Today I went to Toys ‘R Us and got the bomb Angry Birds stuffed animal and it made me wicked happy but I will never use it ever.  Kinda like Peter…the Build-a-Bear I made last year that Naomi named.
Me and Deanna are talking about how in 7th grade I had this black sweatshirt I wore EVERY DAY and then she asked me if I ever wear it anymore so I told her I got a new one and I actually wore it today and she was like haha you’re a loser but I love her anyway.  And then she brought up this special market basket bag I had that whenever I slept over Dylans house and she was there playing with his sister I would have the same bag every time and then their dog ripped it.  So sad.
I was just on the website I use for my Glee Spoilers and there was this link to an article about characters that serve no purpose on their shows and number 2 was Tina from Glee and as bad as I felt for poor Jenna Ushkowitz who plays Tina, I was laughing hysterically with my father in the room next to me wondering why I was laughing so hard..

“Take me you can leave me but I won’t ever change
If you don’t like the rules don’t play my game
Talk to me to get R-E-S-P-E-C-T, but if I don’t, it’s all in me

Woah, oh, oh, oh, oh
Hell to the no-no, no-no, no-no, no-no
I said
Woah, oh, oh, oh, oh
Hell to the no-no, no-no, no-no, no-no”

That right there is an un-released original song on the next Glee episode that no one was told about so it’s wicked exciting.  The song is called Hell to the No.  It’s an amazing song.

Yesterday me and my sister played many very intense games of Just Dance 2.  I did better than her every time but whatever.  I really wanted to do Proud Mary because it’s kinda tiring and she had to sit down and I was like suck it I’m gonna win this thing.  And I did.

Umm..confirmation.  I kinda hate being a christian/catholic.  It sucks because:

1. I need 40 hours of community service in the next 2 years

2. I have to give up something I love for 40 days (starting 2 days ago, Wednesday)

3. I can’t eat meat on every Friday until after Easter (which really pissed me off today ebcause my dad took me for breakfast before school and I was really in the mood for bacon, but I had to settle for homefries, but they were still really good!)

Thing is, I don’t believe God invented the world.  I don’t believe he invented people.  I beleive in science and facts.  If that means I’m not christian so be it because if you asked me what a Gospel was I wouldn’t have known until last week.

School…
World Civ is wicked boring, still.  My teacher is so unorganized it’s ridiculous.  Like, super ridiculous.

In study I listen to me iPod and draw so that’s like an hour and a half of nothing.

Gym is ok.  We do a lot of team building activities.  Sometimes we play games with the Sophmores.  Today we played Doinkball against them and we beat them 54 to 25.  It was a happy moment for us freshmen.

Environmental Science is ok.  My teacher is really weird.  not weird in a bad way weird in a way that she’s always breathing heavily and wears a weird cylindrical object on the top of her ear that no one in the 3 classes she teaches can identify.

Math is still my favorite.  I hate everything we’re learning but it’s all ridiculously easy because I’m with the stupid kids (No offense to my friends in my class that fall into that category).  Also, it goes by the fastest because I sit with extremely amusing people.  Such as Rachel who sits behind me and I turn around and draw on her paper while she’s working, or Andy who enjoys throwing pencils at me because he knows me the best out of everyone and knows I won’t get mad at him because I’m too nice to people.

That’s really it for now.  I’m sorry this is so SHITTY.  Bye.

2+ Feet of Snow and Still Not Pleased

Oh, hello.  I did not see you there.  My name is Matt and..hmm?  You know who I am?  But how do I not know you?  This is an outrafe.  With a g.

Haha, I got released early from school today and I got very bored very quickly.  The bus ride took about 30 minutes when it normally takes 10.  The only plus side to the slow voyage home was that Rebecca and Caralyn were planning a secret-fest.  I haven’t had one of those but apparently it is being held at my house.  Naomi is invited too.  We are gonna have pie!  Ok, so on Halloween, Naomi, Rebecca, and Caralyn came over my house after we got our candy and my mom offered them pie but then they had to leave.  So, me and my mom were at Bertuccis last night and she suddenly out of nowhere remembers she offered them pie and now they are coming over this weekend!

Ok, umm.  Glee in 5 days!  I’m super excited!  They’ve put the songs on iTunes early so I downloaded them right when I got home.  I’ve been listening to them all day.  I’ve always realized that when they announce the songs they’re doing, I get really really excited about one specific song, but then a different one ends up being my favorite.  Like, I was wicked excited for Thiller/Heads Will Roll, but Need You Now is my favorite.  Coincidence?  I think not.  Actually I have no idea.  Moving on.

There’s this vlogger that I watch on youtube named meekakitty and she has to be the funniest person alive.  Well, she was talking about this song called “Mario Kart Love Song.”  So I looked it up and it was a love song combined with stuff from Mario Kart and it’s amazing because I’m a video game geek.  You should listen to it.  It’s on iTunes, too.

I’ve switched my classes now that it’s second semester and I don’t like them that much.  I have World Civilizations, where my only friend is Christina and the teacher talks to herself.  Then on blue days I have study with Songee, but I made some (one) new friend(s).  Gold days I have gym, or project challenge, it’s called.  I don’t like the idea of a whole year in gym bent on improving teamwork.  I wouldn’t mind if I had friends in my class, but I don’t.  I only have Jianna (who I haven’t had an actual conversation with since 6th grade) and Stephi (my worst enemies ex girlfriend).  That’s no fun.  But at least we all have one thing in common: we all hate everyone else and the class itself.  Environmental Science is alright.  I love the class itself and what we’re going to be learning, but the kid I sit next to is really awkward and annoying.  Everytime I look up he’s either looking at me or staring intently at his worksheet as if trying very hard not to look at me at all.  That bothers me.  My teacher said that after she learns our names we can sit where we want.  I’ve always hated when teachers say that because no matter what you want to say, changing our seat does not change our appearance.  Last block I have math and I must say it’s my favorite class.  That’s strange because last year I failed.  Literally.  I got an F.  but this year I’m in Level 2/3.  I signed up for Level 2 but because of the number of kids who signed up we got mixed with the stupid kids so class is a breeze.

So, living in the North, we typically get a lot of snow.  This year however, we have over 2 feet on the ground and will be getting  about 2 feet more starting tonight.  Most people want it to stop.  I want it to get to the point where we have like 7 feet and I have to push snow out of my way to leave the house in the morning, because that would be like an adventure.  Adventures are fun.

I have a story.  There’s this kid in my environmental science class that harassed me in 5th grade.  Apparently, he’s in level 3 science but he’s in my class for whatever reason.  So, we had a pop quiz today and he took so long we had to wait an extra 10 minutes AND he was allowed to use the book.  Like, what the fuck, seriously?  So I guess what they say about the bullies going no where in life is true.  I’m a happy child.

I guess this is where I’ll end tonight.  Actually I have a video for you.

I know none of you liked it.  The majority of you probably didn’t even watch it.  Anyway, bye!

Matt

Bye 😀

Troubles

It’s been a while, huh?

I missed you, 3 viewers!  But now I’m back…even though I say that everytime and then forget this blog even exists.  Anyway, how’s life?  Actually i don’t care how your lives are.  I have enough of my own problems.  Actually, I have, like, 2.  But before I complain, I’ll talk about school.

School has been boring lately.  Not terrible, just boring.  I had finals today and last Thursday, and I have my last one Wednesday.  They were all a lot easier than I expected, and the prep was unnecessary.  Also, my teachers were like “This is all going to be on the final!” and then none of it is.  It’s like, do you want us to fail?  Do you want to have us in your class again?  Because I can make your life miserable.  Seriously.  I can.

Also, we started a few weeks back in English Julius Caesar by Shakespeare, and I didn’t like it very much.  BUT we had to do another skit/performance and guess what!  Did you guess?  Well I’m gonna tell you anyway.  IT WAS IN THE STYLE OF GLEE WE HAD TO SING AND PERFORM IT WAS AMAZING.  And I was in the same group as my Romeo and Juliet skit and we got an A+ again because my teacher loved us.  He told us that we are the first class in a very long time that he doesn’t want to leave.  How touching.

My foundation teacher told us that we were her favortie class out of 5 classes.  I wonder how bad the other classes treated her, because we would paint her tables, put paint on her back, use the wrong paint, argue with her (well only one kid, Jacob, who nobody likes) and just annoy her as mucha s possible.  She could have been lying, but she said she felt bad giving us a final so we all got A’s.  Maybe she did like us?

My physical science teacher was the only teacher who didn’t say how much she would miss us.  Actually, about a month ago, she said we were her least favorite class out of the two that she teaches.  In French we got candy and she said she hoped to have us again.  Probably not the same group of kids together because we never shut up, but still…

You know what I just realized.  A lot of this blog isn’t really just an explanation of my life, but it’s all my opinion and nothing else.  Is that bad?  Does it make my posts less interesting?  I also realized my paragraphs are extremely short and that I still have a christmas-y background.

Problem number 1!  Ok, so there is this girl I kinda like I guess you could say kinda.  I guess.  And my friend who I will call Bird because her name reminds me of a bird ( I have no idea why) decided to help me get her to like me.  I find that to be extremely awkward since Bird is a sophmore and I only see her every other day and I didn’t know her name until like October or late September.  Why am I writing about this?  Whatever, I’m awkward.  HAH.  I’m not sure if I want Bird’s help or if I want to even be in a relationship because all my relationships last like a week.end.

Problem number 2!  So I got into a fight (supposedly apparently) with my best friend because I started talking to his friends from schoo, that he introduced me to and now he thinks I’m taking their side, which I didn’t know there were sides.  This has been going on since like August and I enver told anyone, really.  Umm, if you’re reading this, I’m sorry.  I never meant for you to hate me.

Ok that’s my life then and now.  Umm, Glee.  Very soon.  I will keep you updated whether you like it or not.  Now I have a reason to post.  Because of Glee.  That sound good to you?  Ok, good.

Getting Into the Christmas Spirit

Hey there!

I absolutely can not wait until Christmas.  It’s what, 21 days away?  But only half of those days are school days.  I’m currently listening to Charice’s cover of Jingle Bell Rock and it’s quite good.  I love her, like, so much.  We have the same birthday, and that makes me feel special.  Well not really but it’s really cool!

Anyway, umm.  Yesterday I went to the mall with Brooke, one of my best friends who I haven’t seen in a couple months because she went to a different school.  Our friend Rachel was supposed to come, but she went over her grandmas instead.  Being alone made it kind of awkward, but it was still fun.  We saw a ton of people we know.  Like, I saw this girl that I went to elementary school with before I moved, and now she goes to school with Brooke, and she wanted to talk to her, but I wouldn’t let her because she will probably try to talk to me and I’m wicked shy.  Also, I saw at FYE that they sell the Charlie Brown Christmas tree, the really small pathetic but adorable one!  It was only like $35 and I wanted to buy it so bad, but I bought a CD instead.  It felt kinda nice to buy a CD instead of buying songs on iTunes.  I don’t really know why.  It was Lungs.  Florence + the Machine <3.  Thank you for telling me about them Naomi.  You now deserve two cookies.

Today started off really weird.  I woke up at 11:30 because my parents needed me to watch my siblings while they go shopping.  I felt like it was 3 in the afternoon, so I was oblivious to the time.  When my parents got home at 3:30 I thought it was like, 7, because I never cared to look at a clock.  That’s my story of the day.  That was totally pointless.  Sorry you had to read that disgrace of a paragraph.

Right now, me and Naomi are discussing music taste of a specific person who I will not name just in case.  I’m not going to go into that.

I can’t think of anything to say tonight, I am so sorry.

Uncreative Title

Hey…That’s right, I didn’t ditch you (“you” as in the 2-6 viewers wordpress says I have).

So, I’m not quite sure where to begin.  There’s been so much that happened.  Oh, I got an A+ on my English midterm!  My teacher said it was by far the most creative interpretation of the play any of his student (in 8 years, either that, or 15) have ever performed!  It was awesome!  When he gave it back to us, we were like, “Yeah!!!!!” and then our class looked at us like we were idiots.  But accodring to my English teacher, we are the exact opposite, so yay.  Currently, in English, we’re learning about the French Revolution to prepare us for when we begin to read A Tale of Two Cities next Monday.  I’m not excited.  It’s a long book.  And it’s really old it smells weird, and the print is so small it hurts my eyes.  Also, I’ve realized that Charles Dickens seems to describe things endlessly, as an example, in A Christmas Carol, it took him like, 3 pages to describe how Marley or whatever was as dead as a doornail.  That is totally un-necessary.

Hmm, Thanksgiving was quite good for me.  It was definitely different from all other Thanksgivings.  Only my grandparents came over this year.  Everyone at turkey except me, I hate about 30 croissants.  They were delicious.  After my grandparents left we went to my aunts.  They didn’t come over this eyar ebcause they wanted to watch football and not be disturbed.  While there we ate dessert, and it was fair.  After that we went to my great aunts house and just did nothing.  It’s always boring there because they are all oldish and every time I see them they ask how old I am, what grade I’m in, and say “You’ve gotten so tall!”  That gets on my nerves.  We had to leave early, luckily, because my brother and sister got into a fight over the couch and my brother bit my sister and it was all purple and the bite marks were big, but that’s also because he has buck teeth.  I went home, thought about blogging, and then was told I had to go to bed.  Too bad.

Today during first block, my teacher brought us to see the mock trial thing in the auditorium.  It was kind of interesting.  There were 3 debate topics.  Illegalizing tobacco products, whether or not to have sales tax on alcohol, and whether to illegalize religious symbols in monuments.  I found the religious one to be especially interesting, because I was with my friends, one of them is an Atheist, one is Jewish (I’m pretty sure), and me and the two others are Christian, so we all had different opinions.

Foundation Studio lately has been terrible, but it kinda always is.  Like, I love my table group because I’m friends with all of them, but the teacher is a bitch.  She grades us on artistic ability which is completely unfair, because me, along with many others in my class, are terrible artists.  Also, she has this really annoying voice that literally sounds like nails on a chalkboard, and when she gives her little lectures like every 20 minutes, you kinda wanna shoot her.  And what we really hate, is when you’re like, getting up to sharpen a pencil or something, she walks over to you and asks why you’re not doing work, and she’s like an inch away from your face, and it’s like, personal space, please.

The time for Glee is almost over, and I’m quite upset.  Next tuesday is the Christmas episode and then it goes on it’s 2 month hiatus and comes back Sunday, February 6th for the Super Bowl episode, and then get’s back it’s normal schedule that Tuesday, and that means Glee 2 days in a row.

So, about 3 weeks ago, my friend showed me this song by Florence + the Machine, “Dog Days Are Over.”  And then, like 2 weeks after I find out Glee is performing that on their Sectionals episode (which was yesterday, and it was awesome).  So, I looked up other songs by that band and they are my new obsession.  Yay obsessions!

Also I wanna congratulate Naomi (also my Florence + the Machine buddy xD) for completing her NaNoWriMo thing!  Yay!  It took like a month but I’m sure it all payed off.  She gets a cookie tomorrow ^_^

That’s it for now, I’m gonna try and post very soon.

Bye

Midterms and Goth Doctors with a bit of Christmas

The title of this post may make no sense since I said I pretty much love my life, but not right now, oh no.  It’s not drama, it’s much worse.  Midterms.  They’re tomorrow.  I know I’m going to fail, but I’m going to worry and complain until they’re over.  Oh I’m actually going to go study now.  So bye.

(The next day…)

Midterms were SO easy!  I completely, and I mean COMPLETELY, over exaggerated.  But I’ll get to that later.  So, school yesterday was fun up until English.

In French, we went to the language lab and looked at random French websites.  There is this mall, and it’s underground!  And it has a movie theater which makes it a million times cooler.  But I live in the United States so that has no effect on me at all.  In Science we took our chapters 6&7  test and everyone was mad because we didn’t get to use that class to study for midterms which was the day after, so today.  In English, my teacher was mad, for the very first time.  We had this really bitchy sub who turned out to be the head of the english program at our school.  She told the groups that were filming their skits they couldn’t film because she didn’t want them in the hallway.  But instead of midterms we are performing these skits, and they needed the day to do it.  So my teacher came in yesterday and said the director lady yelled at him and embarrased him at a meeting and he kinda hates my entire class now, but he said “The only group I’m not worried about is Sarah’s group,” and I’m in Sarah’s group, so that made my day, kind of.  In Foundation Studio, which is basically Art, my friends case manager showed up and made her switch seats cause she was distracted, so me and MT had to sit alone, but we still made the best of it.

Ok, so midterms.  They were easy!  At least easier than I expected.  For physical science, everyone, no matter what level class you take, everyone’s midterms were the same.  I found that to be strange because if level 3 and level 1 have the same test, a lot of the level 3 people probably failed.  And probably, the level 1 kids studied a lot of what wouldn’t be on the test.  But there’s really not much else to say about it.

In English, we decided that when I’m Paris, I need to be goth, for no reason.  So I bought black jeans, a gray button down shirt, and a black tie.  It’s gonna be awesome, I think.  My Capulet costume that’s supposed to be a combination of Juliet’s mom and dad isn’t finished yet but my group thinks it is, and when it’s not done for Tuesday they’re all going to kill me.  Though, I kind of wish I didn’t have to be both, because I’m going to look like an idiot if I’m up there talking to myself wearing a half dress half suit outfit, with half a mustache and half lipstick and eye shadow.  I already know I’m going to look ridiculous.  At least Pond’s idea of it being a musical didn’t go through well with the rest of the group.  I’m an ok singer, but I would never sing in public unless it was with my friends and no one else could hear.

Lately, I keep forgetting it’s only November, and I think it’s winter break.  I’ve spent this entire day in pajamas, except when I took a shower, then I put on clean ones because they were comfortable.  And during this lazy day of mine, I keep listening to the preview of the Glee Christmas album and it’s not helping with trying to get a grasp on the fact that Christmas is over a month away.  As much as I love the warm whether of summer and stuff, I love the snow.  I could spend hours just lying down in my front yard in the snow.  “For we need a little Christmas, right this very minute, candles in the window…”  I’m going to kill myself before Thanksgiving even gets here waiting for this holiday.  Now I’m in the mood for fruit cake which I’ve never even had.

TWO MORE DAYS UNTIL GLEE!  That’s not long at all, but every time I post I’m going to make one paragraph dedicated to Glee with a countdown to the next episode.  This is a special episode because this is one Kurt meets his possible boyfriend, Blaine.  Blaine sings Teenage Dream and it’s kind of awesome.  Sometimes I feel like this show is my entire life.  It actually may be, since I spend my free time looking up spoilers for it.

Hmm, music… Lately, Kesha has bene really annoying.  It seems like she always has a song on the iTunes Top 10 thing and she’s not even good.  Her songs are so autotuned it’s ridiculous.  I heard her live at the Kiss Concert, and the only reason I thought it was so good wass because she’s a good performer.  I will admit her songs are catchy, but that’s really it.  When they’re played at dances I’m not one of the kids jumping up and down.  Umm, yeah..

This post was still short for me, but I had planned to post yesterday and then my uncle was here from 8 until past midnight so I didn’t have anytime to blog, and now I’m just tired.  So expect a post Wednesday, because Tuesday is my Glee night and also I have CCD that night right during the show.
